About the event

This is a fast and flat run on pavement trough Gates Park and on the gravel surface of the beautiful trails of Colony Farm Park in Port Coquitlam.

You can challenge yourself to achieve your personal best time, or you can just have fun and enjoy the company of fellow runners surrounded by the beauty of nature.

Our PA Announcer will keep you informed of the day's schedule, play good music to keep you entertained before and after the race, and announce your name when you cross the finish line.

All runners will receive a Finisher medal and there will be race recovery products and refreshments available after the race. 

The event will be timed using the IPICO Sport chip timing system that allows for accurate and live results. 


This event is part of the Port Coquitlam Sport Festival, which is an initiative created by the Port Coquitlam Sport Alliance. Additionally, part of the proceeds from the event will go towards supporting the KidSport Tri-Cities Foundation.

  • 5K - 8:40 AM     

  • Kids Fun Run (after last participants from the main events finish the race, approximately 10:00 am)

Kids Fun Run - FREE, for kids of all ages

Parents participation is allowed but not required

Registration Subsidy Program

If you or anyone you know is prohibited from participating in our events due to financial constrains please contact us and we will be happy to assist and have you run with us -

No Refunds - Registration fee may be deferred to another TRIO Sport Events event with a registration fee of equal or lesser value.

Race Package Pickup

Friday July 12, 5:00 pm - 6:00 pm at the Running Room, Westwood Centre, Port Coquitlam (604.945.1810)
Race day - starting at 7:00 am, at  event's site - Gates Park, 2300 Reeve St, Port Coquitlam


Awards, Results

Medals for 1st, 2nd, 3rd place over all; F & M - 10k and 5k events.

Age group results will be available for viewing only; there are no awards for age groups.
Finisher medals will be given to all runners.

Participation Ribbons for all Kids Fun Run participants. 
Unofficial live results will be posted during the event. Official results will be posted on this website by end of race day.

Aid Stations

Items at the aid stations will include water, recovery drink and energy snacks.

Family Rate
​​A 20% discount is available to teams of three (3) or more immediate family members registering for the event.

Have fun with your family, friends, co-workers or clients and take advantage of extra savings! 
Get a group of five or more athletes together and you will save 20% off our regular registration fee.

This applies to teams of family and friends as well as a corporate teams that will come together to represent their company.   A corporate team may include employees as well as their families and clients.

Your team and your company will be acknowledged at the start of the race, you will also have an option of posting your corporate banner at the finish line area.

Pictures, Video

There may be pictures taken and video recorded during the event. This will be done by a designated event photographer.

We hope to use the materials for promotional purposes such as posting them on our website, using them in promo brochures  and/or social media.

If you do not wish your picture or video to be published in any way please let us know during the event or contact us via email or phone.


Event Shirt (TBC)

Will be available for purchase during package pickup day before the race as well as on the race day at the event site.
