TRiO Race Series Race 2: hERITAGE WOODS trail race

About the event​

Taking place on the scenic trails of Port Moody's Bert Flinn Park, this race provides an excellent introduction to trail running; an exhilarating outdoor activity that adds an extra layer of excitement to your run. When you venture into the world of trail running, be prepared to traverse diverse terrains filled with undulating paths, challenging inclines, and quick descents. As you navigate through the trails, you'll encounter natural obstacles like tree roots and small rocks, making your run more exciting.

Toward the second half of the race, the landscape transforms as you transition from rugged trails to a wide, gravel-surfaced trail. The undulating path provides a contrast to the technical challenges faced during the initial leg of the run. As you pick up the pace on this smoother terrain, the exhilaration builds, turning the journey back into a fast and dynamic run toward the finish line at the North Shore Turf field.

Get ready for a thrilling journey that combines the beauty of nature with the invigorating rush of a fast-paced return.

 

Our PA Announcer will keep you informed of the day's schedule and he will play good music to keep you entertained before and after the race.

​

All runners will receive Finisher medal, there will be race recovery products and refreshments available after the race. 

 

Part proceeds from the event will go towards supporting KidSport Tri-Cities Foundation.

    • Age group categories (U20, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60+)

    • Awards will only be given to overall Female and Male top three finishers, age groups results are for viewing only​​

  • 5K (TBC)

    • Age group categories (U20, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60+)

  • Kids Fun Run / 500 m

 

Start Times (start times may be adjusted, please check back closer to the race day) 

  • 10K - 8:30 AM                    

  • 5K - 8:40 AM         

  • Kids Fun Run (after last participant from main events finishes the race, approximately 10:00am

 

Registration Fees

Regular Fees (5k and 10k) - until May 18

  • U17: $25           

  • 17+: $45           

​Late Fees (5k and 10k) - until May 29

  • U17: $30          

  • 17+: $55          

​Day-of Event Fees (5k and 10k) 

  • U17: $35          

  • 17+: $60

​Kids Fun Run - FREE 

Fees do NOT include GST and processing fees

If you or anyone you know is prohibited from participation in our events due to financial constrains please contact us and we will be happy to assist and have you run with us - info@trioevents.ca

No Refunds - Registration fee may be deferred to another TRIO Sport Events event with a registration fee of equal or lesser value.

Option 1: Friday May 30, 5:00-7:00 PM, Arc’teryx Coquitlam Centre, 2929 Barnet Hwy Unit #2822 Coquitlam, 778.880.6366

Option 2: Race day, starting at 7:00 AM at the event venue

 

Awards, Results

Medals for Female and Male 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place overall in the 10k and 5k events.

Age group results will be available for viewing only; there are no awards for age groups.

Finisher medals will be given to all runners.

Participation Ribbons for all Kids Fun Run participants. 
Unofficial live results will be posted during the event. Official results will be posted on this web site by end of race day.

Aid Stations

Items at the aid stations will include water, recovery drink and energy snacks.

​

Family Rate
​​20% discount available to three (3) or more immediate family members registering for the event.

TEAM Rate 

Have fun with your family, friends, co-workers or clients and take advantage of extra savings! 
Get a group of five (5) or more athletes together and you will save 20% off our regular registration fee.

This applies to teams of family and friends as well as a corporate team that will come together and represent their company. A corporate team may include employees as well as their families and clients.

Your team and your company will be acknowledged at the start of the race, you will also have an option of posting your corporate banner or setting up a company tent at the finish line area.

Pictures, Video

There may be pictures taken and video recorded during the event. This will be done by designated event's photographer.

We hope to use the materials for promotional purposes such as posting them on our web site, using them in promo brochures  and/or social media.

If you do not wish your picture or video to be published in any way please let us know during the event or contact us via email or phone.

Event Shirt (TBC)

Will be available for purchase during package pickup day before the race as well as on the race day at the event site.

Details regarding the shirt type and design to be confirmed.
